23. Landgirl

I haven't got very far with my canopy quest. I've yet to find one that I actually like, or the time to go and track one down due to working more than I intended to. But it's all for the cause of lining my cash strapped pockets so I can't complain.

We've started to get the new AW10 collection in at work, and I have to say they're actually fabulous. I love AW collections more than SS because I adore knitwear and chunky socks and hosiery. I'm a hosiery fiend! We had to pick out some uniform the other day, so I chose a purple silk dress, a turquoise and olive  breton stripe tunic (it looks much better than it sounds, trust me!), which will be handy to just chuck on over some churidars or leggings.

I also picked out an olive green cord skirt, and a double faced stripe t-shirt. I'm biding my time, and being patient before I purchase a mauve mohair jumper to go over the above mentioned combination because my mum said she'll buy it for me, because she's nice like that.

I also bagged myself a pair of soft brogues, which are such a luscious leather - as soft as butter! They're a really gorgeous claret colour. I normally steer clear of reds in general as they do nothing for me at all, but I reason that shoes are okay.

When I wear them with the cord skirt, stripe t-shirt and knitted socks it looks quite like a 'land girl' kind of look.

I decided to go the whole mile and teamed it with a silk scarf worn as a headband today. I originally planned to roll my fringe into a liberty roll but I ran out of time. I look like a bit of a midget in the photo today, I was too worried about standing near a spiders web!
