49. Birthday Antics

Bonjour cherubs!

I hope I find you all well. It was my birthday on Saturday, and I'm finally getting to rest after a whirlwind few days which led me to Birmingham for a joint birthday night out, and then to Clapham for my former housemate Lydia's birthday night out.

Birthday Boy and Girl!

Then I spent the Sunday with Le Mama, and then went out for my good friend Tanya's birthday where I rolled through the door at 4:30am, after we decided to stop off in a gay bar because we weren't ready for the night to be over yet. Needless to say, I think I may have been still drunk when I woke up!

I was a hungover mess when I went to Loch Fyne in Woburn with my Papa and Mop (I call my stepmum Mop, because she always buys me things made out of mother of pearl or pearls hence the abbreviation!) although it really kicked in at about 3pm.

I ate the most gorgeous serving of mussels and had a seafood selection for my main.

Of course once we got home there was the obligatory birthday cake - which will always, always be a caterpillar cake!

Mop introduced me to a new boutique that's just opened up in Hitchin, called What Sarah Did where she took me to exchange something bought for me there for this gorgeous maxi dress.

It's quite sheer and I'll definitely have to get a corset body to wear underneath the top but I had to wear it today. I adore it. It's got such an elegant vintage vibe going on.

I also bought these Supertrash shoes with some of my birthday money. They are unbelievably comfortable and I love the colour of them, plus a girl can never have too many pairs of shoes can she?

Shoes: Supertrash
There was a 20% off shoe offer at the time too, so it was a definite incentive to invest in these beauties! It's nice to see a shop like this open up in Hitchin. There's a definite niche for it because the town doesn't have any big department stores. Hitchin really does lend itself to boutiques and I can see What Sarah Did having a very successful future. I'll definitely be back!

I'd like to wish my lovely commenter on my last post Fear is a Dirty Word all the best as she prepares to head off to college. It is, without a doubt going to change your life, and you will experience so much. Good luck cherub!

That's all for now, take care and keep hydrated if, like me you've been out on the razz for the last few nights.

Ciao Cherubs!x
