63. Avocado, Nachos & a Catch Up

Lazy Sundays are the best, especially after a hectic week. We're right in the middle of a promotion at work so the tempo feels like it's stepped up a million more paces! So today has been spent not doing a whole lot. After a much deserved lie in we ventured to get supplies for lunch, but not before.....

Fella's creation for breakfast.. avocado, egg yolks, grated cheese and bacon. He baked the avocado, egg yolks and cheese in the oven for 6-8 minutes. I'll admit I didn't really understand the concept of it but it was really nice and I'd have it again. Which I probably will being that he likes to be experimental in the kitchen!

I spent the afternoon catching up on some of my favourite blogs (this one is 'fieldguided'), while enjoying a big plate of nachos for lunch. This is the standard single portion that fella's family makes. I ate it all and wished I had held back. Food baby central people! Not the best thing to have when you have to change bed sheets. Eurghhhhhhh....

As mentioned in my previous post, I've been reading 'The Cousins War' series by Philippa Gregory. I finally finished 'The Red Queen', and have started to read 'The Lady of the Rivers'. I'm enjoying this book perhaps even more that I did 'The White Queen'. I find Jacquetta such a fascinating figure given that she completely broke from convention and what was expected of her as a woman of her station in life. I'm half way through already, and I'm reluctant to finish it because I'm enjoying it so much.

I've also spent the last few days breaking in my new brogues from NW3, they are so comfortable the first wear and I know that they will be an outfit staple as Spring continues to approach.

I'm settling down to watch 'Stardust'. I've never seen it from the beginning. Have a lovely evening!
